***If you do not have the following materials for this week, your assignment is to participate by just watching the video this week. If you want more art enrichment, go to the Art Links page***
This week, the lesson will be in SeeSaw. Log into your Art Class in SeeSaw to see the assigned activity for this week. The best way to log into SeeSaw is going through ClassLink using your FCS school email information. If you do not know how to log into SeeSaw through ClassLink, watch this video or follow the instructions below:
**If you have trouble viewing the lesson video in SeeSaw, you can use this link to view the lesson.
Post your work on SeeSaw. Make sure you are posting in the Art Class journal and not your regular homeroom class journal. It will have a ORANGE ICON that says "1 Art". Add your assignment by clicking on the "Add Response" button to the activity.
Next week is a "catch up" week to give you a chance to catch up on all the assignments and projects that you haven't been able to complete yet, so there will be no new lesson. Please post your completed art assignments to the Art Class journal in SeeSaw. In the last week of school (week of May 18), I'm going to try to do live sessions using Microsoft Teams. I will send out announcements for date and times of those by May 18th.
If you have trouble viewing the videos or accessing SeeSaw, email Mrs. Strom at [email protected].

- Pencil or something to poke hole in cardboard

- Use a pencil to poke a hole through the center of the cardboard and set aside for later.
- Bunch a few pieces of wire together and twist the center of the wires together. If the wires are long, you can cut them. The twisted center will be the tree trunk.
- Put the bottom part of the tree through the hole of the cardboard and spread the bottom wires under the cardboard like roots of the tree. You can glue or tape the roots to the underside of the cardboard.
- Bend, curl, twist, and fold the top ends of the tree to make your branches
- You can add fruits, flowers, leaves, and other details by using scrap paper to draw those details and gluing or taping them to the tree. You can also put beads on your tree to add details.
