Kindergarten Music Mrs. Trude's classes (Kout, Schiavone, Frank and Makant)
NEW: Have you seen our HFE chorus video of "A Million Dreams" from The Greatest Showman? You won't want to miss it... here it is: HFE Chorus Video
Here's a video that music teachers in Fulton County made for all of you, our beloved students. You'll see me (Mrs. Trude) in the second row, left side. Enjoy! "Here Comes the Sun" or try this link.
Last 2 weeks of school:
Complete any of the past assignments that you have not done, OR:
Open this page for fun music activities that I have found for you that are on the internet.
Week of May 4-8: (last week of new lessons)
1. Sing "Bye 'm Bye" with me on this video.
2. Remember "Down By the Bay" from last week? Check out this new video and sing with me some of the new words that Heards Ferry kindergartners thought of.
Next week will be a "catch up" week to give you a chance to catch up on all the assignments that you haven't been able to complete yet, so there will be no new lesson. I will post some fun enrichment activities.
Week of April 27 - May 1:
Play our game "Doggie, Doggie, Where's Your Bone" at home! Watch Mrs. Trude's video to see how.
Learn a new song with Mrs. Trude! It's called "Down By the Bay." Here is the video.
You are invited to think of some new words for this song! (This is explained in the video.) You can submit your lyrics to me on Seesaw. Your lyrics should rhyme. For example, "Did you ever see a pig, wearing a wig, down by the bay."
Week of April 20 - 24:
Today I am going to share with you a piece of music called "Spring." Grab your favorite stuffed animal, watch my video and enjoy!
Week of April 13-17:
1. Sing "Down In the Valley" with me on this video.
2. Go for a listening walk. Choose a place for your listening walk (around the house, yard or neighborhood.) Walk silently and see how many things you can hear. If you are very quiet, you will hear a lot of things! When you finish, tell somebody in your house at least 5 things that you heard.
Week of March 30 - April 3:
1. Play "Guess who sings your name" at home. Watch this video demonstration by Mrs. Trude.
2. Here is a great song called "Turkey In The Straw." It has a steady beat. Can you find something in your house to tap or shake to the beat while you listen? You could tap on a pot softly with a spoon, or put some rice inside an empty water bottle and shake it. OR Find a stuffed animal to bounce to the beat while you listen to the song, like we do in class.
(You may have to log on using your student ID# and Fulton password to get into Safari Montage.)
3. Here is another version, called "Kitty In The Straw." Watch this video and sing along when it is time.
Week of March 24-27:
1. Play our crayon game at home! You can be in charge! (This game is best with 3 or more players.)
2. Explore the ChromeLab for MelodyMaker at this link. Click the squares on the grid to add sounds, then click on the arrow to play it back. Click on your melody to erase or change it. You can change the speed, too. Can you make a great song?
Week of March 17-20 and March 23:
1. Explore the ChromeLab for rhythm at the following link here.
(Move the dots, x's or other shapes, then click the arrow to listen to your rhythm.)
2. Sing "No More Pie" with this video. Wait your turn! (You may have to log on using your student ID # and Fulton password to get into Safari Montage.)
