Grades 2-4
TIMBRE, EXPRESSION and INSTRUMENTS of the ORCHESTRA
A friend of mine sent me this great new way to listen to “Peter and the Wolf” by Prokofiev! You not only see/hear the individual instruments for each character, you see some pretty amazing graphic art.
Watch the following video and name the instruments for each character:
- Bird:
- Duck:
- Cat:
- Wolf:
- Grandfather:
- Hunters:
- Peter:
- Copy the above list and name/type the instruments (you may of course ask your parents, siblings, or google the answer after listening). Send your answers to me at [email protected] AND WATCH http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BFQdVCord0#action=share
.
APRIL 16-27:
Dear Students,
First of all, I will miss you! Please stay healthy and include music in your daily or weekly life until I see you again.
The chart for your grade level (SEE BELOW) is five activities to accomplish over the next few weeks, not in ONE day! Print the chart and have your parent sign/or initial the box when you complete it. Email me back you completed it. [email protected]
ALSO... There are some additional fun activities for you to do at any time! (SEE THE LAST BUTTONS BELOW)
My most important direction for you is, listen to music of your choice and your parents’ choice. Share the radio. I learned most of my musical loves from my father and he was OLD. 😊
My email is [email protected] should you have a question or want to check in.
Love,
Ms. Wallace
